Fulfilling the promise of digital media downloads
This feature-rich site, now in beta testing, will provide consumers with the world’s largest array of pre-licensed music available from most major labels, all performed by the original artists who make these songs known.
Available to paid subscribers only, initially users will be able to download music and ringtones to their PC and handset. In the second phase of the launch, subscribers will also be able to download film and television clips from leading studios and broadcasters.
The Altnet membership center will also allow users to manage their music, film and television clips, organize their selections, and participate in online communities and blogs about their favorite artists, bands, films and TV programs.
